(Fanfic) A Hurtful Farewell/Eng

Jaejoong looked at the girl standing in front of him. It was his girlfriend, Cho Ahyoung, who wore a sleeveless black mini-dress and glanced at him with a bunch of guilty. Jaejoong wanted to say something, but he couldn’t find his voice. His heart was trembling. He still couldn’t believe what his girlfriend had just said.

“I’m sorry, Jaejoong-ah”, said Ahyoung. She bent her head because she didn’t want to see Jaejoong’s dissapointment. She felt very sorry.

“No, it’s...It’s okay”, Jaejoong answered haltingly. A sheer of pain was painted in his smile. Yes, it’s okay! It should be okay for him.

“Really?”.

“Huh?”, Jaejoong starred at Ahyoung’s eyes straightly. Her voice tone caused his heart sink down. Did she really hope to break up with him? Did she really want to leave him and date with Yunho instead? Could he accept that kind of reason?

No, he couldn’t. He couldn’t let Ahyoung go for Yunho. Ahyoung and he had spent almost 4 years together. Could it be forgotten just in one day like this? He really loved Ahyoung. He didn’t want to break up. The time they spent together was really a worth to Jaejoong.  Didn’t Ahyoung know this?

“I didn’t do this without a reason”, Ahyoung broke the silence. Her voice turned very cold.

“I see. It’s because of Yunho, of course”, he said. He had just realized that his voice tone contained anger.

Ahyoung was bent down over in guilty. She knew, she had just cruelly drew a pain in Jaejoong’s heart.  But she had no choice but to break up with Jaejoong, or she would see Jaejoong’s sad face in the future. No, she absolutely didn’t want to see it. It’s better for her to dump Jaejoong now, so he wouldn’t know everything she hide.

“I don’t love you anymore, and…I’m engaged to Yunho now”, Ahyoung suddenly showed a ring on her finger. She tried to restrain her tears when she saw Jaejoong’s shocked face, but finally, it flowed down on her cheeks…

She did it? Really?

She hoped everything happened today was just a dream that would be erased tomorrow. She hoped that when she woke up tomorrow, she would see Jaejoong’s smile and everything was okay. But she knew, it would never happened.

Brakkk!!

Jaejoong pounded on the table, angrily.

“So, what is the meaning of our relationship up till now?! Do you think that I just play around you?! Damn!!”, he grabbed his jacket and walked out from this café. Ahyoung kept her eyes on him while her tears were still flowing. Jaejoong didn’t wait for her answer. He just walked out from the café, leaving Ahyoung with her grief.

Ahyoung walked slowly along a path which poured by yellow maple leaves. It was autumn. She used to walk on this path with Jaejoong during their high school time. She remembered when Jaejoong waiting for her coming on this path, leaning back his body on one of maple trees along this path side. He smiled to her, waved his hands and called for her name. They have a really nice time back then.

But everything now wasn’t the same. She had to accept the reality that her life had been ruined by a lung cancer. Her precious time with Jaejoong had to be ended right away before that disease ended up her life. She must left with no regret and leaving no pain for her lover.

“Ahyoung…”, she heard someone called her name. She turned back and found Jung Yunho stood right behind her.

“Yunho-ya? How long have you been…”

“I’ve been behind you along this path. You don’t know?”.

Ahyoung smiled. She could feel Yunho’s warmth in her heart. He was always by her side every time she needed him. Yunho was such a kind person that she couldn’t even understand. Just by thinking of his kindness could make her about to cry. She hugged Yunho tightly.

“Ahyoung-ah, are you okay?”, Yunho shocked by Ahyoung’s sudden hug. He thought that Ahyoung was about to faint.

“I’m okay. I’m okay, Yunho-ya. I just...I just feel so thanks to meet such a person like you”, cried Ahyoung. “You know how much I need a person like you during this hard time”. She hugged Yunho tighter.

Yunho smiled calmly. “It’s because I know you better than anyone else do”.

“Really? How is it?”, asked Ahyoung.

“Aigoo, you must already know the reason. We’ve been being friends for years, right?”.

Ahyoung loosen her hug. “Ah, that’s right. So I know you more than anyone else do too, don’t I?”.

“No, you don’t”, Yunho smile turned trickily. “You don’t know me that well, Ahyoung-ah”.

Ahyoung opened her mouth to say something, but she suddenly felt a great pain in her lung. Just in seconds, she collapsed. Yunho, who was extremely shocked, called for an ambulance right away. His head was so hectic that he couldn’t think of anything else but to hug Ahyoung tightly with his arms.
